From her first performance of the Can-Can at age of five, Heidi
has developed a passion for all forms of dance. A former
member of the Young Canadians and three years of intensive study in
Bharatha Natyam (a form of Classical Indian Dance), Heidi has been the
director of The Bedouin Dance Company for two years.

Directed by Heidi Hillman, The Bedouin Dance Company is an
innovative Calgary based Tribal Style Bellydance company. With roots
in Classic modern Tribal, The Bedouin Dance Company has embraced inspiration from
the Urban Tribal movement by fusing Tribal, Classical Indian dance,
Flamenco influences, hip hop, and other dance
styles. 
An avid student,
she has taken workshops from Sharon Kihara, The Urban Tribal Dance
Company, Zoe Jakes, Fat Chance Bellydance, Ultra Gypsy and is a
certified Suhaila Salimpour level one completing a 30 hour workshop
and extensive testing. Heidi brings all her experience, talent and
innovation to The Bedouin Dance Company and is known for her fun and challenging
class environment, her beautiful technique and inspiring choreography.
