East resolving political conflict through their mutual love of belly dance. She started her bellydance studies in the orientale/cabaret
style as well as the traditional ATS tribal format in her home town of Regina, Saskatchewan with the respected and loved teacher Linda
Yablonski. When Alissa moved to Calgary she found her true obsession when she focused her attention on tribal world dance fusion after
joining The Bedouin Dance Company in 2005. Alissa loves the group focus of the tribal format and is blessed to have belly dance
and her fellow troupe members in her life.
